Core is the personification of strength. He is strength of arm, of character, and of willpower. He stands over 7 feet tall and is somewhere between 400 and 500 pounds when not wearing armor. He has yet to ‘grow the beard’, a sign in his country of the leader, but instead allows his head hair to grow long and wild, known as the Hero’s Lockes.
Core is the Champion of Keldj. He is the son of the eldest statesman, Governor Stiven. Unbeknowenst to family and even Core himself, a trace of the Giant blood runs through his veins. He is prone to laugh heartily, makes no attempt to hide his emotions, and often sings songs of heroic tales without thought of what others may think of him. He is viewed in an almost saintly manner in his home city. The people there actually look forward to the day that he will sit in his father’s seat as governor.
As Champion of Keldj, his sole responsibility it to lead and train the Marauders, the standing army of Keldj. He takes this responsibility to heart. His soldiers are trained daily in war and strategy. They fight to maintain the small but fertile grounds located at the foot of Mount Keldj. Without the constant vigilance and battle ready Marauders, the farmers of Keldj would be able to do their part in feeding the great City State. The yearly struggle between the Marauders and the uncountable legions of undead elves and humans still haunt the area. Without Core and the Marauders Keldj would forever be forced to live solely in their mountain territory.
Core is unstoppable in combat. He wields a great hammer and often makes wagers on whether or not the soldiers under his command can even lift the mighty weapon. He has at times covered the retreat of an entire legion of overrun soldiers, returning home the following day covered in blood, ichor, and evidence of his absolute mastery of battlefield combat.
Physically, Core has no weakness. He is agile, immeasurably strong, determined, and most of all clever. He is loved by his countrymen, his soldiers, and is the unquestioned heir to the throne. If anything were to approach a weakness in Core it is his uncertainty about his brother. Core does not have any lack of faith in Twitch, but has had to ask himself, “What really happened in the forrest so many years ago that could shatter a man so?” Core wonders frequently if he could have endured whatever unspeakable trial his brother went through.
